Albert and Sadie Enders, originally from Melbourne and Sydney Australia respectively, were coaching pioneers in singles, ice dance, and particularly pairs.  They developed their skating in the earliest years of Australia’s first ice rinks and went on to become World Professional Pair Champions from 1932-1938.

Their love of skating brought them to South Africa and England before arriving in Canada in 1940.  From 1941-1947, Albert and Sadie coached at the Toronto Skating Club, guiding Skate Canada Hall of Fame inductees Suzanne Morrow and Wally Diestelmeyer to Olympic and World bronze medals in 1948.

They moved from Toronto to Vancouver in 1947 where they taught at the Connaught Skating Club, followed by many of their students, including Morrow and Diestelmeyer.  The Enders provided a complete package to their skaters, offering figures and other coaching, choreography, and designing and making costumes.

Over their careers in Canada, they worked with many talented figure skaters including Frances Dafoe, Norris Bowden, Elizabeth and Barbara Gratton, Brian Power, Kinda Brauckmann, Margie Sandison, Anne Doherty, and Audrey Williams.
