Class of 2017: Builder
One of Canada’s most influential figure skating journalists enters the Skate Canada Hall of Fame in the Builder Category.
Steve Milton, an award-winning journalist with the Hamilton Spectator, has covered sports for more than four decades through print, radio and digital media. He began writing about figure skating in 1979, and has attended numerous Olympics, ISU World Figure Skating Championships and countless Canadian championships throughout his career. He is viewed as a great source of information on figure skating, from historical facts to the judging system.
Milton, who is also enshrined in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, has authored or co-authored 25 books, including “Tessa and Scott” and “A Skater’s Life”, an autobiography on Brian Orser.
