OTTAWA, ON (Oct. 5, 2026) – Twelve Canadian figure skaters are set to compete in Gdansk, Poland, for the seventh and final stop of the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. Taking place from October 8–10, the competition will feature Canadian entries across all four disciplines.

Leading the Canadian contingent is women’s skater Lia Cho, who captured bronze in her JGP debut in Bangkok. She will look to return to the podium in Poland, with qualification for the 2026 ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final still within reach. In the men’s event, William Chan returns to the circuit after earning a personal best and placing sixth in Riga.

Canada will field three pair teams, all competing at their second JGP event of the season. Miroslava Oreshkin and Vladimir Furman placed sixth in Riga, while Alia Tang and William Bocskay also earned a sixth-place finish in Xi’an City. Joining them will be Kaydee Kallay and Étienne Lacasse, who placed eighth in Ankara.

In ice dance, Laurence Brière and Earl Jesse Celestino will look to build on their fourth-place result in Riga, where they finished just shy of the podium. They will be joined by Chaïma Ben Khelifa and Julien Lévesque, who placed fifth in Bangkok. Both teams will draw on their earlier experience as they aim to close out the series on a strong note in Gdansk.
