OTTAWA, ONT. (Sept. 15, 2026) – Eleven of Canada’s top young figure skaters are set to compete in Ankara, Türkiye, this week for the fourth stop of the ISU Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix Series. Taking place from September 17-19, the competition will feature Canadian entries in the men’s, pairs, and ice dance disciplines.

In the junior men’s event, Grayson Long will look to build on his experience from the opening Junior Grand Prix of the season in Xi’an, China, where he finished eighth overall. The Cranberry Cup bronze medallist sat in third place following the short program, before a challenging free skate dropped him to 10th in the segment.

Canada will field a full contingent in the junior pairs event, led by three promising teams. Kaydee Kallay and Étienne Lacasse will make their Junior Grand Prix debut after joining forces earlier this year. Lacasse brings valuable experience to the partnership, having qualified for last season’s Junior Grand Prix Final with his former partner.

The competition will also mark the second appearance of Brianna Dion and Jacob Côté, who got off to an impressive start on the Junior Grand Prix series with a fifth-place finish in Xi’an. Marykim Ranzi and Enryck Legault will also return to the series after placing fifth at their first Junior Grand Prix in Riga. Both teams will look to bring that experience and momentum to Ankara this week.

In ice dance, two-time Junior Grand Prix medallists Charlie Anderson and Cayden Dawson will kick off their international competition season. After narrowly missing qualification for last season’s Junior Grand Prix Final, the duo will look to begin their campaign on a strong note in Ankara. Joining them will be NextGen Competition silver medallists Audra Gans and Danil Pak, who are set to make their Junior Grand Prix debut.
