Skate Canada Celebrates 2026 National Award Recipients

Whether volunteering at events, leading within their clubs and schools, or upholding standards of excellence, these members play an essential role in enriching our sport and communities nationwide.
Skate Canada is proud to recognize the outstanding contributions of volunteers, clubs, skating schools, and sport leaders with the 2026 Skate Canada National Awards, honouring 20 recipients across three award categories. Representing the very best of Canada’s skating community, these individuals and organizations continue to make a meaningful and lasting impact both on and off the ice.
Volunteers
The National Volunteer Award is presented to one volunteer from each of Skate Canada’s Sections, recognizing the exceptional efforts and passion of those who go above and beyond to make a difference in the Canadian skating community.
Clubs & Schools
This Skate Canada award recognizes figure skating clubs and schools who demonstrate excellence across all areas of operation – from program delivery and registration growth to collaboration amongst its members – while cultivating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
Coaches & Officials
The National Coach and Official Awards celebrate outstanding sport leaders who develop skating in Canada and support skaters’ growth through their commitment to excellence, integrity, safety, and innovation.
