Reigning national champions NEXXICE Junior (Burlington, Ont.) also had a phenomenal run at this competition, receiving seasons best scores for both their free program and total score, despite minor mistakes in their free skate.

The team finished fifth in the free program with 121.83 points and placed sixth overall with 192.32 total points.
“The whole team is super proud of what we did,” Denham added. “We’ve been working so hard and this has just been our end goal, so being here feels super surreal. I’m just trying to take it all in.”
