RIGA (Latvia) February 15, 2026 — Canada’s synchronized skating teams continued their tour of Europe this past weekend, with Quebec’s Les Suprêmes Senior, and Ontario’s Ice Ignite Junior and NEXXICE Junior competing at the Riga Amber Cup in Riga, Latvia.

After taking the final leg of the ISU Synchronized Skating Challenger Series in Turku, Finland last weekend, Les Suprêmes Senior added another win to their belt at this competition, finishing first overall.

Leading the pack coming into Saturday’s free skate with 83.73 points, the team delivered a great free program, scoring 152.40 points for an overall score of 236.13.

“The atmosphere in the rink gave us lots of energy in both programs and we’re really happy with our skates,” said co-captains Julia Bernardo and Olivia DiGiandomenico. “We still have room for improvement and look forward to continuing the hard work.”

Finland’s Helsinki Rockettes finished second with 227.49 points, and Team Skyliners (USA) finished third with 217.87 points.

NEXXICE Junior also came out on top this weekend, finishing first overall with a season’s best 202.06 points.

“We’re incredibly proud of the way we delivered two strong performances and achieved personal best scores in both programs,” said NEXXICE captain, Sadie Denham. “It’s a testament to the hard work and trust our team has built together all season.”

The team put up 73.36 points in the short program, securing a comfortable lead coming into the free program. They then proceeded to have another phenomenal skate, surpassing their season’s best free program score by over 20 points with 128.70.

Also representing Ontario in Riga this weekend, Ice Ignite Junior finished fourth overall with 155.33 points. The team placed fifth in the short program with 56.17 points but improved their standings by earning 99.16 points in the free.

Lexettes Junior (USA) finished second with 185.12 points, with DC Edge Junior (USA) finishing third with 161.62 points.
