Ottawa, ON (Jan. 14, 2026) – The new year brings new opportunities for Canadian synchronized skaters to showcase their talents on the world stage. This month marks the start of the international synchronized skating season and will see teams compete at four International Skating Union (ISU) Challenger Series events.   

Competition will kick off with the PGE Hevelius Cup taking place in Gdansk, Poland, from January 15-17, 2026, with team Prima Junior taking to the ice.  

The action then moves to Eindhoven, Netherlands, where national champions Les Suprêmes, as well as their junior counterparts, will compete at the Lumière Cup from January 22-24. That same weekend, two junior teams will take on the Mozart Cup in Salzburg, Austria.  

Synchronized skaters will wrap up the month in Norwood, USA, with 2026 Canadian National Skating Championships medallists NEXXICE and Nova junior and senior competing at the US Synchronized Skating International Classic, held on January 30-31.  

The Challenger Series is designed to give skaters adequate opportunities to compete at the international level and to earn World Standing Points. For full competition schedules, entries and results for Challenger Series events, please click here.
