EVENT:

What are the 2025 Canadian National Skating Championships?

The pre-eminent all-Canadian sporting event will feature approximately 200 skaters in the men, women, pair, ice dance, and synchronized skating disciplines, competing at the senior and junior levels.

Athletes will vie for spots on the National Team and for a selection on the teams that will represent Canada at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships® 2025, the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships® 2025, the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2025, the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships® 2025, and the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships® 2025.

Where are the 2025 Canadian National Skating Championships being held?

All competition events and practices for the 2025 Canadian National Skating Championships will be held at Place Bell, in Laval, Quebec, from January 14-19, 2025.

What time are the events and when do the doors open?

The doors open each day 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the first practice. Keep checking the Skate Canada website at www.skatecanada.ca for the most up-to-date schedule. It is recommended that you visit our website regularly to keep track of any schedule changes. If there is a schedule change and you can no longer attend the event, tickets are non-refundable.

I am travelling from out of town. How should I book my travel and hotel room when I don’t know the start and end times of the competition?

It is always recommended to book your travel after the competition schedule has been finalized.

Which athletes will be competing at this event?

The full list of athlete entries will be confirmed in December 2024 upon completion of the 2024-2025 Skate Canada Challenge. Tickets will not be refunded due to athlete withdrawals.

How do I purchase tickets for the 2025 Canadian National Skating Championships?

All-event tickets for Senior events and day tickets for Junior events go on sale to the general public on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM ET.

What is included in the all-event ticket package?

The all-event ticket package gives you access to the entire event. Your ticket includes admission to all competition events and official practices.

Please note that there will be no Exhibition Gala this year.

The all-event ticket package is broken up into four sessions, as follows:

• Friday, January 17 – Senior Men Short Program, Senior Synchro Free Program, Senior Pair Short Program (starts at approximately 17:00)
• Saturday, January 18 – Senior Women Short Program, Senior Rhythm Dance (starts at approximately 11:25)
• Saturday, January 18 – Senior Men Free Program, Senior Pair Free Program (starts at approximately 17:00)
• Sunday, January 19 – Hall of Fame Induction, Senior Women Free Program, Senior Free Dance (starts at approximately 11:20)

When will single session tickets for Senior events go on sale?

Single session tickets for Senior events will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM (ET).

How do I obtain entry to the practice sessions?

For day ticket holders, admission to the morning practice is included with the day ticket. For single session ticket holders, admission to the morning practice on Saturday and Sunday is included with the Saturday Session 1 (morning) ticket or Sunday Session 1 (morning) ticket.

If a family member is a Skate Canada member or a Skate Canada volunteer, where do I order my tickets?

You must order your tickets through the same channels as the general public. Members are encouraged to watch for emails with information about special offers exclusive to Skate Canada members, including advance sales on all-event ticket packages.

Why are my seats flagged as being partially obstructed?

Due to the construction of the two-tiered judges’ stand, commentator platforms, Kiss & Cry, and the installation of television cameras, some seats may become partially obstructed in these areas.

How can I get better seats next time?

Fans who purchase tickets on the first day of ticket on-sale have the best selection of seats to choose from. To get advance notice on ticketing information, subscribe to our fan mailing list.

Do children require a ticket?

Children under two years of age do not require a ticket if they do not need a seat. If they do need a seat, a ticket must be purchased at full price.

Where is the Kiss & Cry located?

The Kiss & Cry will be constructed between Sections 12 and 13.

Where is the judges’ stand located?

The judges’ stand will be constructed in front of Sections 1 and 17.

Are tickets transferable or refundable?

Ticket purchases for this event are non-refundable. Tickets can be transferred; however, no individual event session ticket can be used by more than one person, per session.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Can I bring my camera and take pictures during the event?

The Skate Canada Spectator Camera Policy is in place at events to protect the safety of athletes and to ensure a distraction-free environment for all spectators.

Personal photography is permitted by spectators but cannot impact the viewing ability of others. All photos taken during the event must be for personal use only and captured on a small digital camera or mobile device.

The following is not permitted at Skate Canada events:

• Flash photography to ensure the safety of the athletes
• Camera bags and large camera equipment, such as tripods
• Professional cameras and/or detachable lenses greater than 6 inches or 200 mm

No video recording of any type is permitted within the venue during the competition.

Unauthorized sale, commercial use and/or third-party distribution of photos from events are strictly prohibited. Only accredited team members are permitted to videotape their skater or team from rinkside during practice.

Spectators who do not abide by these restrictions risk having their camera confiscated or being removed from the event by the venue security staff.

Why does Skate Canada have a camera policy?

This policy is in place at events to protect the safety and privacy of athletes and to ensure a distraction-free environment for all spectators. This camera policy falls in line with venue and other sport organization policies.

If I have a gift for an athlete, how do I get it to them?

Gifts and flowers may be offered to the skaters at the end of their performance. Please ensure all items are completely wrapped to protect the ice surface.

Can I bring my own food and beverages to the event?

Guests are not permitted to bring any outside food or beverages into the arena. Refillable water bottles are permitted. Concession stands will be open throughout the event.

Can I bring flags, banners, or noisemakers to the event?

Handheld flags and fan signs are permitted in the arena; however, must not obstruct the view of or distract other patrons in the stands. Skate Canada is not responsible for lost or damaged banners.

Airhorns and noisemakers requiring batteries or compressed air are not permitted in the arena. Small handheld noisemakers may only be used following a skater’s program or during ice resurfacing.  If flags, signs/banners, and noisemakers become disruptive to fellow fans, Skate Canada will ask that these items be stowed away.

Are there in and out privileges during each day of the event?

Yes, and it is important to keep your ticket with you to allow re-entry to the building. Be sure to check with door staff when leaving to ensure your ticket is scanned out for future re-entry.

Is smoking allowed in the building?

Place Bell is a smoke-free building. Smoking is only permitted in exterior designated areas.

Does Skate Canada supply transportation to and from the arena?
