Canadian Skaters head to Finland for the Fifth ISU Grand Prix
OTTAWA, ON (November 11, 2024) – Six Canadian athletes will travel to Helsinki, Finland this week for the fifth stop on the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. The Finlandia Trophy will take place from November 15-17 and will feature two pairs teams and one ice dance team representing Canada.

They will be joined by pair skaters Kelly Ann Laurin and Loucas Éthier who will seek to apply learnings to improve both of their programs after placing eight at SCI.
Following their fifth consecutive SCI title, Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier will bring experience to the ice dance competition. The team will aim to capture another medal as they look to secure their spot in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, taking place in Grenoble, France at the end of the month.
