Skate Canada Podcast Episode 1: Craig Buntin

In this inaugural episode of the new Skate Canada Alumni podcast, Debbi chats with three-time Canadian Pair champion, Craig Buntin.

Buntin is a three-time Canadian Pair Champion, first finding success with partner Valérie Marcoux. Together they won three Canadian pair titles from 2004-2006 and competed at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.

Kawahara at the Oscar’s & Olympic Alumni Highlights

Skate Canada alumni and Hall of Fame member Sarah Kawahara walks the red carpet at this year’s 90th Oscar’s!

Our very own Sarah Kawahara choreographed the recent movie “I, Tonya” which was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, Best Actress and Best Film Editing.  Allison Janney, a former figure skater who also played Tonya’s mother in the movie, won for Best Supporting Actress.  Read More

Looking back over our skating careers, it has been an honour to represent Canada on the international stage.  Now as members of the Alumni Committee, we feel privileged to be giving back.  Serving on the 2017-2018 Alumni Committee are Denise Benning, Ann Shaw, Nicholas Young, Barry Soper, Emery Leger, Frances McLellan, Sheri Moir and me, who together combine nearly 300 amazing years of skating experience as competitors, coaches, officials and volunteers!
