Planned giving – a gift for tomorrow
Legacy gifts will leave a footprint on the lives – and hearts – of skaters for generations to come. Show your passion for skating and contribute to the financial stability that will allow Canada to own the ice. Planned gifts include:
Bequests
Skating has always held a special place in your heart. Make sure that passion is immortalized with a lasting legacy gift through your will. Your bequest will help with program development, training, education and scholarships while supporting Canada’s next generation.
To make a bequest to the Skate Canada Fund, we suggest contacting your legal counsel about planning or revising your will to ensure your donation to Skate Canada is properly designated.
Endowment
Make an investment in the future of skating in Canada. An endowed gift will ensure a sustained source of funding for skating in Canada, providing a consistent source of support for years to come.
Gifts of life insurance
Help create skating memories for generations to come by transferring ownership of an existing life insurance policy to the Skate Canada Fund. You will receive a charitable receipt for the full cash surrender value and accumulated dividends of the policy. A new policy can also be opened, naming Skate Canada as both owner and beneficiary.
Gifts of retirement funds
Your legacy has taken a lifetime to build, and now you can choose who benefits from it. Once your family has been taken care of, retirement funds can be used to make a gift to Skate Canada to ensure the passion you have for skating lives on for generations.
