Club Coach Position
Located in the beautiful East Kootenays, the Cranbrook Skating Club is looking for a positive, energetic coach who is willing to work as a team to support our growing club! Little Giant Figure Skating Club is seeking an energetic, motivated coach with a passion for skating who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with young children, parents, volunteers and club executive for the 2018/2019 season.

Time Commitment:

The Milestone Skating Club is looking to hire a coach for the 2017/2018 season, and beyond. Hampton Figure Skating Club is looking for coaches for the 2017-2018 season. We are currently looking for Skate Canada certified coaches in both CanSkate and StarSkate. Ice time is Wednesdays 4-5:30 and Friday 4:30-6:30

We are looking to fill two positions:

• A dedicated and enthusiastic StarSkate NCCP Level 2 (Intermediate StarSkate Provincial Coach/Provincial Coach) to fill the role of as the lead club coach. This coach must be able to communicate well with skaters, parents, board members, and fellow coaches. This position is 2 days per week. Consideration will also be given to a Level 1 (Primary StarSkate/Regional Coach Star) interested in growing with the club.

• An entry level Canskate coach looking to assist the head coach. Preference will be given to those individuals interested in continuing the NCPP coach training and/or CanPowerSkate program. This position would be 1-2 days per week.

The Silver Jets Figure Skating Club  is currently looking for a qualified and experienced coach to join our team for the 2018-2019 season beginning in September. Our season runs from September-April.

Our club offers many skating  programs including PreCanskate, Canskate, Starskate, Competitive , Syhnchro, and Adult(new for the upcoming season).

We are a vibrant club that offers approximately 18 hours of on-ice training (5 days a week) for all levels of skating  accompanied   with off-ice training.

Our club participates in approximately 6  interprovincial competitions during the year as well as our Atlantic Championships held in Nova Scotia.

Our club will require:

– valid First Aid/CPR Certificate
– valid back check criminal record certificate
– valid Skate Canada coaching membership
– valid respect in sport Certificate ( new requirement for 2018/2019 skating season for coaches)
– certificate to teach the new Starskate 1-5 tests
– certificate to evaluate the Starskate 1-5 tests
– able to coach the new canskate program

Preferably, we would like a Provincial coach with  certification and national coach training  with dance coaching experience either with a personal test record or experience coaching up to at least a junior silver dance level.

As a Silver Jets coach, the successful applicant must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with skaters, families, and executive. They must show exemplary professional courtesy and provide leadership and coordination with respect to test days, competitions, Ice Show, and any other club initiated event throughout the year.
