The Nakusp Skating Club is looking to hire a coach for the 2017/2018 season and beyond. The club offers Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate and StarSkate programs, and is interested into looking into other areas that might grow our club and meet community demand, including CanPowerSkate and skating classes for adults. The skating season runs from early September to mid-March. We require a coach for 10-15 hours a week, with possibilities for more. * Continuous Education Program at least 5 credits or higher
* Ability and desire to coach skating at all levels, from Pre-Canskate to Gold-level Starskate
* Current certification for First Aid, Criminal Record Check and “Making Ethical Decisions”
* Knowledge of and training on the CanPowerSkate program an asset
* Ability and experience to teach Preliminary to Gold in all levels
* Willing and able to offer group and private lessons
* Interested in working closely with club executive to plan and grow the club
* Strong communications skills and an ability to work effectively with all ages (including parents, skaters and volunteer executive members)

The White Rock South Surrey Coaching Team is currently looking for an enthusiastic, team coach to join our team. Skate Ponoka Regional Coach Wanted

About Us:
Skate Ponoka is a non-profit athletic association affiliated with Skate Canada. We have approximately 25 Starskaters, 15 Jumpstart skaters, and 60 Can/PreCanskaters, as well as 2 Synchronized skating teams. The club executive is made up of parent volunteers, and coaches that work towards the common goal of providing a healthy, positive opportunity for the children and teens in our community to learn to skate, and figure skate.

Requirements:
• Skate Canada Regional Coach in training or higher.
• Provide a photocopy of your Skate Canada Professional Coaching Membership Card
• Be a Coach in Good Standing
• Hold a First Aid Certificate
• Have completed the Making Ethical Decisions online module
• Working towards the new mandatory STAR 1-5 Training and Assessment for coaches.

Skills:
√ Be able to work professionally and cooperatively with skaters, parents, board members and other coaches.
√ Have a willingness to upgrade your skills and keep current with changes within Skate Canada.
√ Be organized, punctual, and reliable.

Roles and Responsibilities:
To coach StarSkate and CanSkate skaters in semi private and private lessons including travel to competitions if skaters have goals to attend competition. Evaluate skaters and complete report cards for each session. To plan and organize the carnival with other coaches and board members.

Time Commitment:
Tuesdays/ Thursdays/ Fridays and/or Sundays depending on Starskate session skaters are signed up to attend. Season is from September 17 to March 29, 2018

Hafford Skating Club is seeking coaching for the 2017/18 season. We are looking for a coach with preference to someone who can test and coach STARSkate 2 & 3, Skills 5 and above up to Senior Bronze as well as CanSkate. CanSkate coaching is assisted by skaters from our STARSkate Program. Preferred skate days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Hafford is located 100 km NW of Saskatoon, 60 km east of North Battleford. Since we have natural ice our season typically runs from mid-December to mid-March at most. We are a small club with 18 registered members in 2016/17.

• An entry level Canskate coach looking to assist the head coach. Preference will be given to those individuals interested in continuing the NCPP coach training and/or CanPowerSkate program. This position would be 1-2 days per week.

Silver Wings Skating Club is seeking a qualified Skate Canada Coach to assume the role of Club Coach for the 2016-17 skating season. Our club offers a variety of Skate Canada programs and our season typically begins mid-October and runs through April with 13-15 hours of coaching available each week. National Coach in Training (Level 2 (ISPC) Certified coach with Level 3 Theory and Technical) with 21 years’ experience looking for a club (or two) within about an hour’s drive of Barrie, for the upcoming 2017/18 season. Otherwise, I’l be willing to discuss relocating. Club, Freelance or a combination of both.
