Event

The pre-eminent all-Canadian sporting event will feature approximately 200 skaters in the men, women, pair, ice dance, and synchronized skating disciplines, competing at the senior and junior levels.

Athletes will vie for spots on the National Team and for a selection on the teams that will represent Canada at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships® 2023, the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships® 2023, the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2023, the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships® 2023, and the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships® 2023.

All competition events and practices for the 2023 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships will be held at Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario, from January 9-15, 2023.

The doors open each day 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the first practice. Keep checking the Skate Canada website at www.skatecanada.ca for the most up-to-date schedule. It is recommended that you visit our website regularly to keep track of any schedule changes. If there is a schedule change and you can no longer attend the event, tickets are non-refundable.

It is always recommended to book your travel after the competition schedule has been finalized. If booking prior to the schedule being finalized and you wish to attend all senior practices on Thursday, you should plan to arrive Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. If you do not plan on attending Thursday practices, plan to arrive Thursday evening in case competition begins early Friday morning. It is recommended to depart on Monday following the competition, as the Exhibition Gala may end late on Sunday night.

The full list of athlete entries will be confirmed in December 2022 upon completion of the 2022-2023 Skate Canada Challenge – Junior/Senior. Tickets will not be refunded due to athlete withdrawals.

Yes, your seats remain the same for all events with an all-event ticket.

Due to the construction of the two-tiered judges’ stand, commentator platforms, Kiss & Cry, and the installation of television cameras, some seats may become partially obstructed in these areas.

Fans who purchase tickets on the first day of ticket on-sale have the best selection of seats to choose from. To get advance notice on ticketing information, subscribe to our fan mailing list.

Children under two years of age do not require a ticket if they do not need a seat. If they do need a seat, a ticket must be purchased at full price.

The Kiss & Cry will be constructed in front of Section 119.

The judges’ stand will be constructed between Sections 113-115.

Ticket purchases for this event are non-refundable. If the event were to be cancelled due to the ongoing global health crisis, Skate Canada and the venue will automatically refund the purchase price to the original credit card used for purchase. The all-event ticket package can be broken down by session and shared; however, no individual event session ticket can be used by more than one person, per session.
