VENUE UPDATE
Skate Canada has been advised of a labor disruption at our host hotel for the Ice Summit, the Hilton Québec. To ensure all planned activities can take place as scheduled we have moved all functions to ExpoCité – Centre de Foires (250 Wilfrid-Hamel Blvd, Quebec City, QC, G1L 5A7).
Centre de Foires is a fantastic facility that is near to the Hilton Québec with ample space and services to accommodate all events (i.e.: meetings, Coaches’ Dinner, Welcome Reception, Friday workshops, AGM and Awards Banquet). All room bookings will remain at the Hilton Québec and all participants will be transported by bus to and from Centre de Foires at no additional charge. It will take approximately 15 minutes to travel from the hotel to Centre de Foires. The bus schedule will be available online and onsite closer to the event.

Whether you have had a busy day of informative workshops or you have just arrived in town, join your skating friends and colleagues in a relaxed environment to catch up and reminisce while enjoying some refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres.
You will be treated to an amazing guest speaker and be introduced to the candidates running for the Skate Canada Board of Directors. This will be a great opportunity to mingle with the candidates to discuss their ideas and perspectives on the sport and how they would lead Skate Canada.

Workshops are designed for club volunteers, coaches & choreographers, officials and section volunteers and staff. Select any of the workshops in each timeslot which are of interest to you!
Workshop Participants Contest
All workshop participants will have a chance to win two all-event tickets to the 2023 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships compliments of Skate Canada. A draw will be held during the Annual General Meeting.
Saturday, May 28
Annual General Meeting
Time: 10:00 – 13:00 (pending the agenda)
Location: Centre de Foires, Salle 10 (and online)
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for Members of Skate Canada to participate in discussions surrounding bylaw amendments and contribute to Skate Canada’s decision-making process by voting in the elections for the Skate Canada Board of Directors. Coaches are reminded that Skate Canada’s bylaws provide all Skate Canada Coaches the right to vote during the AGM.
Skate Canada will live-stream the AGM on the Internet. Members who have declared their intention to attend the AGM remotely and have identified that they will be voting will be able to participate in the meeting and cast their votes via online voting platform. Club and school delegates and coaches need to declare their attendance in advance by clicking on the “Declare now” button under AGM.
To live stream the meeting go to the Annual General Meeting tab above and click on the Live Stream button just before the session starts at 10:00 Eastern Time, Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Always a highlight of the Ice Summit, the conference will conclude with the Skate Canada Awards Banquet. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the tremendous accomplishments and contributions of our skaters, volunteers, officials and coaches who made a difference in 2021-2022. Come hear their inspiring stories and help us recognize these amazing individuals!
