A few skaters currently on the national team are participating in this year’s Hbc Run for Canada held in various cities across the country on Canada Day. Everyone is invited to register and get involved either by running, walking or volunteering.
Current skaters participating in this year’s event include:
- 2007 Canadian silver medalist and National Team member Chris Mabee
- 2008 World Silver Ice Dance Silver Medalists and Canadian Champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir
The 2008 HBC Run for Canada will take place in 15 different locations on July 1 and feature many 2010 Olympic medalist hopefuls, as well as past Winter and Summer Olympians.
In 2007, the Hbc Run for Canada raised $2 million, thanks to the many Canadians who participated in the event by running, walking, volunteering, and fundraising, all in support of our Canadian athletes.
