Canadian figure skating memorabilia has found its way to the Canadian National Team Wall of a sports bar in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Manitoba native Jim Graves opened the Rockies Sports Bar a few months ago and business has been thriving.
“The Canadian National Team wall has been receiving rave reviews,” says Graves. “Rockies is the first Canadian sports bar in Ireland. I decided to stamp my piece of Canada right here at Rockies. I named it to remind me of home and I am now marketing it as the unofficial Canadian Embassy for Northern Ireland.”
Canada’s figure skating contribution on Rockies’ Canadian National Team Wall is an autographed national team poster and an autographed poster from the 2006 World Championships held in Calgary.
Rockies look forward to welcoming Canadian athletes and visitors in Belfast. Go to www.rockiessportsbar.com to view the items on the Canadian National Team Wall in the gallery section of the Rockies web site.
