Myriane SamsonMyriane Samson has performed well on this season’s International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix circuit.

She followed-up her fourth-place finish at the Junior Grand Prix event in Budapest, Hungary, with another fourth-place result at the Junior Grand Prix event in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania, which was held Sept. 21-24.

Samson, of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., was ninth following the short program, but delivered an impressive free skate to finish third in that portion of the event and fourth overall.

Her total score of 112.16 in Miercurea Ciuc beat her point total in Budapest by almost six points.

In the men’s event, Elladj Baldé, of Verdun, Que., placed 10th overall, while Edmonton’s Ehren Jaleel was 14th.

Ice dancers Christina Bourgeois, of Laval, Que., and Frederick Allain, of Miramichi, N.B., finished 11th overall, while their teammates, Marie-Joëlle Fournier, of Lachenaie, Que., and Justin Trojeck, of St. Thomas, Ont., were 13th.
