Skate Canada is saddened by the loss of Douglas Kimpel, who passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Feb. 3. Douglas was a strong supporter of figure skating in Canada. Douglas, who owned and operated his own veterinary pharmaceutical company (K-Vet), was a member of the Skate Canada Board of Directors and acted as President from 1963-1965. He also served as a judge.
Skate Canada extends its condolences to the Kimpel family.
