The excitement at the 2004 MasterCard Skate Canada International did not take place just at the arena in Halifax - a number of the national team members had the opportunity to bring some cheer and smiles to another important audience.

On Wednesday October 27th, 2004 the three Canadian dance teams and three pair teams that were competing at the event, took time out to visit the Izaak Walton Kilam Hospital for Children, signing autographs, posing for pictures, and being true ambassadors for sport and figure skating.

Brad Schnare, Professional Medical Service Representative from Centrum (Wyeth Consumer Heathcare Inc), along with colleague Bruce Hutchison from Product Manager, Vitamins worked with the hospital to coordinate the visit.

The photos from the visit captured the enthusiasm of the day – there were nothing but smiles all around from the team members and those they visited.

The National Team thanks Centrum for its continued contribution to Skate Canada and the National Team program, and for providing opportunities for the team to make a difference in people’s lives, both on and off the ice!
