Nineteen youngsters from across Canada visited the Skate Canada National Office April 30 to learn more about their sport and to participate in a National Youth Camp. The young athletes, all under the age of 11 years, were accompanied by their coaches and parents and by Megan Wing who acted as an athlete ambassador assisting in many of the on- and off-ice sessions.
The on-ice sessions which were held at the University of Ottawa included presentations from skating luminaries such as Brian Orser, Petra Burka, Louis and Marijane Stong, Megan Wing and Igor Tchiniaev.
