In just a couple of days, Nicholas Young will be able to say that he did something many people don't get the chance to do - throw out the opening pitch at a professional baseball game.

Young, a member of the 2003-2004 Skate Canada National Team, will make an appearance at the Ottawa Lynx baseball game on Aug. 4. The Pembroke, Ont. native will be throwing out the opening pitch, as well as signing autographs for the fans.

The Ottawa Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Baltimore Orioles. The team will be playing against the Rochester Red Wings on Monday. The Red Wings are the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.

Fans who attend the game will also have the opportunity to enter a draw for two all-event ticket packages to the 2004 BMO Financial Group Skate Canada Junior Nationals, which will be held Feb. 4-7 at the Nepean Sportsplex in Nepean, Ont.

Game time on Aug. 4 is at 1:05 p.m., and tickets can be purchased for as little as $7.50.
