How To Become A Member

Individuals who participate in a skating program or volunteer at a Skate Canada member club or skating school will become Associate members of Skate Canada once the club or skating school submits the registration to Skate Canada. All Skate Canada members are assigned a unique membership number that is theirs for life.

The Associate member fee is an annual fee of $32 and is paid directly to the member club or skating school, who will then submit it to Skate Canada. A mandatory member accident insurance is also collected by the club or skating school and submitted to Skate Canada for all members. The member accident insurance fee is $0.65 per member.

Use our Club Locator to locate the Skate Canada member skating club or skating school nearest you or contact the Member Services Department at for more information.

Skate Canada Professional Coaches register annually with Skate Canada. A new coaches’ fee is $100 while a renewing coaches’ fee is $66. Coaches are required to complete their NCCP certification and meet other requirements as defined in the Skate Canada Rule Book prior to registering as a coach.
