(August 1, 2008 - OTTAWA, ON) – Skate Canada announced today that Canadian Pairs Champion Anabelle Langlois sustained an injury while training last week.

Dr. Julia Alleyne, Chief Medical Officer for Skate Canada reported that “Anabelle Langlois incurred a right fibular ankle fracture which was successfully stabilized surgically by Dr. Robert Brock at North York General Hospital in Toronto.” Dr. Alleyne also stated that her prognosis is excellent and rehabilitation will be actively started next week.

Skate Canada will continue to issue updates on the progress of Langlois’ recovery as details become available.
