OTTAWA, ON - The makers of Pedigree®, the number one brand of dog food in the world, have launched the Pedigree Adoption Drive™. The campaign is aimed to raise funds and find loving homes for shelter dogs across Canada. Kurt Browning, four time Canadian and World Champion figure skater and Canadian icon, has partnered with Pedigree® to help promote this important campaign.
Getting involved with the campaign was an easy decision for Kurt, a proclaimed dog lover, who knows first hand the positive impact dogs can have on a person’s life. Kurt actually learned how to skate from one of his childhood canine companions. There is no doubt Canadian skating fans definitely owe that pooch a great deal!
Pedigree® hopes to raise $500,000 throughout the course of the year-long campaign with Kurt as its spokesperson. Funds raised from the program will go towards helping approximately 2000 dogs across Canada live healthy lives. Pedigree® will also team up with 26 shelters across the country, donating $5000 to each shelter to be used to support dog care. They will also provide each shelter with a new digital camera to display available dogs up for adoption on the shelter page.
