World champion figure skater Brian Orser has put together a team of current and former skaters and friends to run in the 12th Annual Pride and Remembrance Run. BMO Financial Group is the platinum sponsor of the run, which will be held on Saturday June 23 in Toronto. Orser’s team is called Silver's Bullets and the skaters will be running in honour of former Canadian ice dancer Rob McCall. The current lineup for Silver's Bullets is: Brian Orser, Patti Cooke, Jason Forbes, John Rait, Marcus Christiansen, Matt Hickey, Jeff Buttle, Michael Shinniman, David Wilson, Chris Mabee, Astrid Shrubb and Joey Russell.

In addition, on Thursday, June 21st, Rob's name will be added to the AIDS Memorial located at the 519 Church Street Community Centre. Rob from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Tracy Wilson from Port Moody, British Columbia teamed up in the summer of 1981 and dominated the Canadian ice dance scene for seven years, taking seven consecutive national titles from 1982-1988. Tracy and Rob were World bronze medallists from 1986 to 1988, but their crowning moment came in winning the bronze medal at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games. To this date, they remain the only Canadian ice dancers to have won an Olympic medal. They retired following the 1988 World Figure Skating Championships and went on to entertain audiences all over North America in professional shows until Rob's death in 1991.

This year’s beneficiaries of the “Pride and Remembrance Run” are the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation and the Triangle Program of the Toronto District School Board.
