With the conclusion of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2007 last weekend in Tokyo, Japan, the winners of the ISU World Standing Bonus for the 2006-2007 season were determined. For the first time the ISU awarded additional prize money to the three skaters and couples per discipline having earned most World Standing points during this season.
Two-time world silver medallists and five-time Canadian Ice Dance Champions Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon came in second in the ISU Ice Dancing World Standings with 2300 points, which earned them US$ 40,500. Ice Dancing World Champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski of Bulgaria earned the top World Standing Bonus with 2400 points (US$ 67,500). European silver medallists Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin of Russia, who finished fifth in Tokyo, ranked third with 2250 points (US$ 27,000).
