It was a successful weekend for Gold Ice Junior at the 2007 Prague Cup.

The synchronized skating team, which trains at Skate Canada Brampton, placed third in the short program and second in the free skate to earn a total of 152.80 points and the silver medal at the competition.

The Prague Cup is an annual international synchronized skating competition. This year, the event was held Jan. 26-28 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Finland’s Ice Steps won the gold medal with a total of 162.24 points, while Chicago Jazz from the U.S. finished third, earning a total score of 148.16.

In the senior event, Gold Ice Senior placed eighth in the short program and sixth in the free skate to earn a total score of 145.82, placing the team seventh overall.

Two Finnish teams, the Rockettes and Team Unique, were first and second, respectively, while the Crystallettes, from the U.S., finished third.
