The University of Western Ontario Mustangs Figure Skating team successfully defended their OUA Championship title this weekend in Strathroy, ON. The event took place in conjunction with Skate Canada's STARSkate Interclub Championships. The Mustangs medalled in 11 of the 15 events, with six athletes claiming double golds. Leanne Moir, Lauran Boehmer, Julie South, Nancy Ford, Liz Love and Diana Hyde each captured two gold medals this weekend to catapult the Mustangs to their second straight title.

Queen's finished second due to the strong performances by Allison Young and Limin Jao as well as Jennifer Vipond and Laura Squirrell and the team of Squirrell and Taryn Motter. Heather Burnett, along with Jao were successful in solo events.

Toronto earned the bronze with captain Jennifer Leek taking two titles this year for Senior Bronze Singles with first place ordinals from all five judges, and then teamed up with Alyssa Hall to successfully defend their OUA title in Junior Similar Pairs.
